Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic is ATTACKED by a pitch invader during a 2-0 win over PSV… but the Serb manages to counterattack and pin the fan to the ground, before he is dragged off by security .
Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic was forced to pin a pitch invader after the fan tried to attack him.
The incident occurred in the closing stages of the second leg of the Europa League play-offs between PSV and the Spanish team.
Sevilla entered the match with a 3-0 first-leg lead and received a scare after Luuk de Jong opened the scoring against his former team in the 77th minute.
Despite a late second from Fabio Silva giving PSV a 2-0 win on the night, Jorge Sampaoli’s side held on to reach the round of 16.
However, the end of the match was marred by ugly scenes when a fan ran onto the pitch and tried to assault Dmitrovic.

A supporter ran onto the field, but Dimitrovic was able to tackle him.

Then the security services arrived to remove the fan from the field after the extremely ugly scenes.
He threw a punch at the Sevilla goalkeeper, but Dmitrovic managed to bring him down.
The 31-year-old was able to pin down the hooligan and kept him there until other players arrived to help with the situation.
The commissioners and security forces arrived at the scene to remove the fan from the pitch.
After the game, it is understandable that Sampaoli was not at all happy with what had happened.
“What happened today seems very serious to me,” he told reporters at his post-match press conference.
‘I don’t know the type of sanction I should have taken, because it should have been more severe.
‘It is incredibly sad that this has happened. I find it worrying; this kind of stuff has to stop.
‘We need to work together to make sure that’s the case. This cannot happen again in the future.’
