A teenager accused of raping a Louisiana State University sorority girl will be tried as an adult after a grand jury indicted him for first-degree rape.
Desmond Carter, 17, is now facing life in prison for the attack on Madi Brooks, 19, in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 15.
The teen was accused of raping the Alpha Phi member, as well as 18-year-old Kavion Washington, who was charged with third-degree rape.
Casen Carver, 18, and Everett Lee, 28, were charged with witnessing the two attacks on the drunken student.

The Washington college football player is accused of raping another young woman who she claims attacked her in October last year after taking advantage of her at Reggie’s.
The victim in the October case says she was too drunk to go home, so she asked if she could stay at one of a friend’s apartments in Washington.
According to her arrest affidavit, they all returned to the house together, where she and the friend began having sex in front of Washington.
Supposedly, the friend became more “aggressive”, pinning her down and ignoring her as she begged him to “stop”.
Washington was watching, but then reached over and felt the victim’s breast and vagina, the affidavit states.
The alleged incident is the third rape allegation made against Washington.

Washington lawyers previously submitted video footage to the court in an attempt to prove the drunken sorority girl was able to consent to the acts, but a judge found it showed “criminality.”
A legal expert previously told DailyMail.com that the judge overseeing the bail hearing made ‘inappropriate’ comments that could ‘contaminate public opinion’ of the defendants.

Legal documents seen by DailyMail.com reveal that Madi had 0.319g per cent alcohol in her system, so high that toxicologists said she may have suffered from alcohol poisoning or blackout.
A lawyer for her family issued a statement saying: “She was raped. Rape is rape. It’s just a horrible, terrible situation.
“And to the extent that those involved with the alleged rapist want to blame the victim and show up at press conferences and say things… we are defending Madi. That is not right.’
