Celebrity outfielder Jamie Durie welcomes his second child with fiancée Ameka Jane and reveals his name

Jamie Durie is now the father of three children.

The famous gardener, 52, welcomed his second child, a baby boy, with his fiancée Ameka Jane this week.

Jamie, who has grown daughter Taylor from a previous relationship, shared the happy news on Instagram and posted a sweet video of the couple’s daughter Beau meeting her brother for the first time.

The horticulturist also revealed his bundle of joy’s unique name: Nash.

“Welcome to the world baby Nash David Durie ♥️ Words cannot describe how grateful we are,” he wrote in the caption.

‘Thanks to my beautiful @amekajane for making this dream come true.

“Our family heart is filled with three beautiful children ��♥️ Thank you all for all your beautiful wishes, we are overwhelmed.”

Jamie and Ameka revealed that they were expecting another baby last year in September.

“We have a Jamie Durie baby on the way, I can’t believe it,” she told The Daily Telegraph at the time.

“Obviously I have two girls, so I’m delighted to bring more testosterone to the family.”

“I’m excited,” Ameka added. A little terrified but excited.

He posted several photos of the Durie clan at the hospital.

The proud parents also said they revealed the news to family and friends on Father’s Day and that Jamie’s father was “thrilled” that his last name would carry on with a son.

The exciting revelation came just months after Jamie admitted he was looking forward to fathering a third child.

He opened up about fatherhood on 4BC Afternoons with Sofie Formica in June.

‘I’m ready to have another one now. We’re certainly talking about it,’ she said at the time.

The former House Rules star revealed that he always wanted more children after becoming a father for the first time in his early twenties.

‘[I’ve] I’ve never been happier,’ she declared, adding that Beau had just started taking his first steps.

Jamie and Ameka, who met in Los Angeles in 2019, welcomed their daughter Beau in July 2021.

Jamie’s confession also comes after he spoke to Woman’s Day about becoming a father again at fifty.

“There’s a lot going on, but life is amazing,” he told the magazine.

‘I’m dad again! I always knew that I would have more children. I guess it just had to happen with the right person.

The former Backyard Blitz host said he was in a much better position to be a father than he was when he first became a father nearly 30 years ago.

He was just 23 when he welcomed Taylor in with his ex-girlfriend Michelle Glennock, a Las Vegas showgirl he met when they were both 18.

‘It was absolute madness. So at this point in my life, I think I’m probably a better parent now than I was the first time around,” he said.

“Taylor is still my number one girl, but being able to be home now and spend quality time with Beau created a bond like nothing I’ve felt before.”

Jamie and Ameka, who met in Los Angeles in 2019, welcomed Beau in July 2021.
