Jennifer Coolidge makes a surprise appearance in Milan… but all is NOT as it seems
She was last seen plummeting into the Mediterranean, but The White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge appeared to be back on solid ground as she attended a fashion show on Wednesday.
Attendees at the presentation of Italian brand Diesel’s latest ready-to-wear womenswear collection in Milan were convinced that the popular actress had graced them with her presence when a familiar-looking figure walked in and took a seat at the first row.
But the old adage that looks are deceptive turned out to be true, at least this time around, because Coolidge, who plays the emotionally insecure Portia in The White Lotus, was actually 6,043 miles away from Milan on Wednesday night.
In fact, while the real Coolidge was attending the premiere of Netflix’s new horror-comedy We Have a Ghost in Los Angeles, drag queen Alexis Stone was posing as the actress in the Italian fashion capital.
Using a portrait photo of the actress as a guide, British artist, real name Elliot Joseph Rentz, transformed into Coolidge by wearing a realistic prosthetic mask, wig and dentures.

Realistic: But the old adage that looks are deceptive turned out to be true, because it was actually drag queen Alexis Stone pretending to be the American actress.
A four-minute video tutorial posted on YouTube shows the painstaking step-by-step process needed to turn Stone into a remarkably believable doppelgänger.
Arriving on the red carpet after completing her transformation, Stone managed to pull off the star’s signature pout and shrug as she posed for photographers.
Dressed in a latex jean jacket and silver cargo pants, he even found time to approach actress Haley Richardson, best known for her role as Portia’s overworked and underappreciated assistant.
Stone opted to play Coolidge, who is currently enjoying a career renaissance, after pulling off more than 250 similar stunts at a variety of high-profile events.
The artist, who previously cosplayed as Madonna, Cher and Dolly Parton, earned him a front row seat to Balenciaga’s New York Stock Exchange show with his convincing transformation into a country star.
She accomplished a similar feat in 2022, this time taking a front-row seat to Balenciaga’s Haute Couture show after arriving as cosmetically enhanced socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein.

Greetings! Alexis got a hug from Diesel designer Glenn Martens during the fashion show on Wednesday night.
Coolidge is coming off one of the best years of her career, earning both fan and critical acclaim for her portrayal of Tanya McQuoid on HBO’s The White Lotus.
The character of the 61-year-old actress, a strangely rich heiress, was the only character to return for season 2 of the series.
She earned her first consecutive Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics Choice Awards and is up for her first Screen Actors Guild Award next weekend.
The actress also took home a Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year award and starred in a Super Bowl commercial for elf Cosmetics.
Coolidge recently spoke about his resurgent career in a wide-ranging interview with Peoplewhere she admitted why she thinks she’s become so well-liked lately.

“I think people liked that I was the underdog. I played a lot of weird women, and people had fun with the comedies I did,” she said.
‘So [show creator] Mike White put me in The White Lotus and it was a drama and a comedy at the same time, I never had that.
She added: ‘Something happened this awards season. I don’t know if they just played clips of me so many times on the internet or on Instagram, but no matter what costume I’m wearing, I can be wearing a frog costume with a helmet and people know it’s me.
‘Recently I was walking in the North End of Boston, and I couldn’t get there from the street. I think it’s very interesting. I guess it’s the internet. I don’t know, or maybe I have a strange walk.
New gnashers: The drag queen gave the look an extra touch of authenticity by wearing a set of false teeth
