Prince Harry and Meghan Markle criticized for response to South Park rumor

A royal commentator has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for refusing to laugh at themselves after they were brutally mocked on an episode of South Park.

Rumors surfaced this week that the Sussexes were planning to sue the creators of South Park, but on Wednesday they appeared to deny this, calling reports of possible legal action “unfounded and boring” in a brief public statement.

‘They have given him the [story] publicity and go out and publish a statement. I think the only two people who have been ‘boring’ are them for not laughing a little bit,” Myers told host Sarah Abo.

Myers quoted a famous saying from actor George Clooney, who has been a fan of South Park since its inception and once voiced a character on the show.

“George Clooney once said, ‘You’re nobody unless you’ve been in South Park,'” Myer said, adding, “I think they should take this for a while and just have a good laugh.” It’s quite funny.

The controversial episode of South Park, titled ‘The Worldwide Privacy Tour’, mocks the royal couple’s privacy claims during a publicity campaign for the prince’s autobiography ‘Waaaah’, a dig into Harry’s recent memoir Spare.

The blunt statement did not address claims that the couple’s lawyers will monitor the show to see if the South Park creators launch new attacks on the couple in the future.

Similarly, no comment was made in response to claims that Meghan had been left “upset and overwhelmed” by the description of the couple in the episode.
