Filming for the much-anticipated fourth season of You resumed last month.

And Penn Badgley, who fronts the series as Joe Goldberg, was snapped in London as he played out some of the new season’s final scenes on Friday.

It appears the season won’t be short of drama, as his character appeared to be involved in a physical altercation, standing on a bridge as he wrestled another male character.

The actor was also snapped climbing up onto the edge of the bridge rails in what appeared to be tense scenes.

Penn donned a pale green shirt for the filming, which was covered in dirt and paired with khaki trousers.

During the scene, he spoke with a man in a navy suit, with the pair appearing emotional during the exchange – grabbing each others faces before sharing a hug.

But other shots showed the two actors in a heated conversation, flashing stern looks at one another before seemingly having a physical fight on the bridge.

Penn’s co-star turned to look over the bridge with an extremely distressed look on his face while gazing down to the water.

Earlier this month, Penn was spotted kissing new co-star Charlotte Ritchie for season four scenes, as it appears he has yet another love interest coming up.

You’s third season ended on a dark and dramatic note as Joe decided to flee his suburban life, killing his girlfriend Love and abandoning their child.

While the new season doesn’t yet have a release date, showrunner Sera Gamble teased the Joe could be set for even more trouble.

She told E! News: ‘What’s a completely different kind of environment to put him in? And then also, what haven’t we done that could potentially get him into lots of trouble?’

It was reported in March that former EastEnders star Tilly Keeper was among several British soap stars joining the case for You’s fourth season, which has begun filming after the third season was lauded by critics last year.

Penn will be joined by the likes of Dario Coates, 29, who played Alex Neeson, the son of Kym Marsh’s Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, and Eve Austin, who portrayed Tabitha Taylor-Rudd in Emmerdale.

A TV insider told the publication: ‘This will come as a huge surprise to the millions of fans of the show around the world, who got used to the first three seasons being based in various locations in the US.

‘The last thing they would have expected was for the next outing to move lock, stock and barrel across the Atlantic and feature a largely British cast.’
