My Hinge date went to ‘move her car’ 45 seconds after we met and never came back. Then I got a text to say that she ‘wasn’t feeling that’

A woman was stood up on a first date after a man he went to ‘move his car’ and ran off less than a minute after running into each other.

Rachel Wilson, 28, of Florida, arranged to meet her date on Friday, January 13 at a North Carolina sports bar for food and drinks.

The 28-year-old, who met the man on the dating app Hinge, said she never detected any traces of strange behavior in him while messaging online.

But 45 seconds into the evening, his partner stood up and said he had to move his car after he left it in a bad spot.

Rachel believed his excuse after seeing a no parking sign posted outside the restaurant.

Five minutes later Rachel received a message that said: ‘Sorry, I wasn’t feeling it. [sad face emoji].’

Rachel said, “I stood in front of the restaurant waiting for about five minutes before I got the text.”

“I didn’t answer and immediately deleted his number and haven’t heard from him since.

“I think if I wasn’t a confident person this would have ruined me honestly, but luckily I’m very confident and confident in who I am so it won’t affect how I approach dating in the future.”

She added: ‘I liked that he made solid plans from the start. I hate it when you meet someone on a dating app and talk non-stop with no solid plans to meet.

“We went to a sports bar type place and planned to get chicken wings and a beer.”

The 28-year-old poked fun at the situation by sharing a video on TikTok that has garnered more than four million views.
