Police officers arrested an employee at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel in Nevada, ending a confrontation with another worker.

Officers were called to the scene at 9:37pm last night following reports of gunshots following a dispute between two co-workers.

When police arrived, several more shots were heard and officers immediately began evacuating the brothel in Carson City, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

An employee fired shots before retreating into one of the rooms at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel, the sheriff’s office said.

Police officers called reinforcements and the Crisis Negotiation Team, SWAT team, as well as police and firefighters attended the scene.

After a nearly three-hour standoff, the employee turned herself in to police at 12:33 a.m. Tuesday and was arrested. There were no reports of injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office said anyone with information on the case is asked to contact its Investigations Division at (775) 557-5206 or email detective@lyon-county.org.

The Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel is one of about 20 licensed brothels in Nevada, as the state is the only place in the US where someone can legally pay for sex.

Sex workers are regularly tested for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS and obtain the required job cards from local police after passing an FBI background check.

The Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel was created by Dennis Hof, who had a half dozen brothels in operation in the two counties and starred in the HBO adult reality series “Cathouse.” He died in 2018.
