A large explosion at a metal fabrication plant triggered a “mass casualty incident” in Bedford, Ohio, according to reports.

Ambulances were depicted at the scene by 1 Schumann & Co., which makes brass and bronze alloys.. It is not clear what caused the explosion around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

One person suffered serious injuries, while several people were treated for burns. It is not clear how many people were injured.

The emergency services have also requested the development of several medical helicopters.

The explosion in Bedford, Ohio, is about 70 miles northwest of East Palestine, where a toxic train derailed on February 3. It’s just south of Cleveland.

Witnesses told locals news 5 that there were two explosions, a small one followed by a larger one around 2:30 p.m.

The building’s brick wall was completely blown away, bricks hitting nearby cars and businesses. Debris also flew across the street.

‘I’m finishing my pork chop from Tasty Take-Outs, like I usually do… finished my pork chop… next thing you know: BOOM. I looked up and it was just… boom. Ridiculous, I don’t know how anything hit me,” a witness told News 5.
