Two missing walkers have been found safe and sound after they went missing nearly a week ago.

They had planned to return to the site on Friday, but they did not show up and their absence raised the alarm.

Alfred Zawadzki, 69, and Klaus Umland, 81, went for a walk from a campsite in Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, on Wednesday.

A search was launched to find the couple with growing concerns for their well-being.

The duo were then found near Mobbs Swamp around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Both men are being escorted out of the bushes and police say they are in good health.

They were expected to return to Dunphy’s camp around 6:45 am.

None of the men have sustained injuries, but they will be evaluated by paramedics out of an abundance of caution.
