Disgraced rugby league star Joe Westerman was pictured smiling as he was mocked for his sex act in Greggs Alley before taking the pitch for the Castleford Tigers’ game against Hull FC.
The 33-year-old star, who was filmed by a passerby kneeling with a woman who was not his wife, was branded a ‘dirty bastard’ as his team arrived at Hull FC’s MKM stadium.
But the married father of three smiled despite the jeers as he left the team coach in his club tracksuit today.
He was booed in parts of MKM Stadium as the teams were announced, while Tigers fans chanted explicit chants in support of Westerman.
Two videos of him engaging in a sex act behind a Greggs store in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, surfaced on Twitter.
Rugby league ace Joe Westerman smiled today as he was booed by the crowd over his embarrassing sex act in the alley ahead of Castleford Tigers’ season opener this afternoon.
Westerman, 33, who was filmed by a passerby kneeling with a woman who was not his wife, was branded a “dirty bastard” as his team arrived at Hull FC’s MKM stadium.
The star’s wife, Lauren Westerman (pictured), said there were “no excuses” about the video and that her husband had been caught with the blonde real estate agent after a day-long drinking session.
The woman, who has not been named, is understood to be the partner of a friend.
His wife, Lauren Westerman, 33, said there were “no excuses” about the video and that her husband had been caught with the blonde estate agent after a day-long drinking session.
Lauren told The Sun: “The truth is, he only told me because he was on social media.”
“But I’m glad they found him because the thought of kissing him after that makes me feel sick.”
The couple married in 2014 and share three children.
Fans had mixed opinions on including Westerman in Castleford’s starting line-up.
Hull FC fan Natalie Chadwell, 40, criticized: “He’s a dirty bastard.”
It’s a shame he’s gambling after what he’s done to his wife and children.
‘Rugby League is meant to be a family game – what message does he send that he’s on the pitch? It’s disgusting.

The married father of three smiled through the banter as he left the team coach in his club tracksuit today.
Lauren said her marriage to the rugby star ended after his actions, saying: “The thought of kissing him after that just makes me feel bad.”
‘The woman he was with has been fired from her job, why hasn’t he been fired from his?
I think it’s a joke. Castleford has said he’s been fined a hefty fine, but that’s nothing.
Ms Chadwell added: ‘An appropriate punishment would be to prevent him from playing.
Honestly, I’m horrified that he’s here. What message does he send?
Fellow support Phil Wilson, 54, said: “It was such a dumb thing.” I thought maybe he wouldn’t play because his head wouldn’t be in the right place.
“The annoying thing is that he’s still capable of putting on a man-of-the-match performance.”
His 19-year-old son Luke commented: “I would have thought he would be at home trying to save his marriage than in Hull playing rugby.”
However, Castleford fans were more supportive of their star player.
Kayleigh Nash, 21, said: “He’s been fined and I don’t think he should be punished any further.”
I don’t think your private life should interfere with your profession.
“He’s done a very stupid thing, but that’s Westy to you.”
Fellow Tigers supporter Josh Radford, 23, of York, added: “He’s brought a bit of shame to the club, but that’s nothing compared to what he’s done to his family.
But I think it would have made things worse if I hadn’t played. The club has taken care of that and we can move on.
Tom Walton, 18, added: ‘He’s a brilliant player. What he has done is terrible for his family, but he has a job to do. What happened has nothing to do with rugby.
‘If you worked in an office, you’d still be showing up for your job, so what’s the difference?’
Westerman previously publicly apologized to his family and friends after the graphic video went viral.
Westerman’s subservient texts to his wife have surfaced, which include him saying, “it’s disgusting and now I have to live with it forever.”
He has been fined by the club but is scheduled to take part in today’s Super League clash.
Despite the scandal, Westerman was named in the starting lineup by Tigers head coach Lee Radford.
The coach named him in the squad to face Hull after laughing off the scandal at a press conference on Thursday.
When asked how the 33-year-old was doing mentally, Radford quipped ‘oh he’s crazy’ before clarifying: ‘Okay, it’s Joe. It has been himself.
Addressing the press conference, he added: “He’s available to play and if he’s selected, I’m sure he’s going to have a lot of fun at KC Stadium.” It’s definitely ready to play.
It is believed that Joe has also been rejected by his supposed best friend, whom he has known for many years.
Westerman was a member of his friend’s wedding party when they got married more than 10 years ago.
A friend told MailOnline: ‘There are two families whose lives have been torn apart by this.
A friend of Lauren’s said: ‘The marriage is over forever and Joe knows it. There’s no way Lauren is going to take him back.
