Watts said he knew going to SAS Australia would help him “rebuild his confidence”.
‘When I am sure that I am very, very capable. When I’m not sure, I go back to my shell… I knew that just the preparation process for SAS Australia would be enough to regain my confidence and I was right,” he explained.
“I look at myself, a year ago and when I signed up for this program I was in the worst state of mind I’ve ever been in. I look at myself a year later and I’m in the best physical and mental state I’ve ever been in my entire life.
He finished: “It’s been extraordinarily good for my mind and body.”
Watts first debuted his trimmed figure in 2016 by posing on the cover of Men’s Health.
The photos marked the end of a three-month fitness regimen.
At the time, Merrick told The Daily Edition that he had dropped TWO pants sizes as a result of his new health-conscious lifestyle.
“I feel great and very happy with the results,” he said after revealing that running, weight training, swimming and yoga helped him lose weight.
Merrick weighed almost 100 kg at the start of the transformation, but confirmed that he weighed 84 kg after maintaining his exercise routine after the challenge ended.
