Rihanna Reveals She Didn’t Know She Was Pregnant With Her Second Child During Vogue Cover Photoshoot

Just days after revealing her bump during her performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna revealed new details about her pregnancy.

The 34-year-old Barbados native revealed her cover photo for british fashion on Wednesday, with her, her boyfriend A$AP Rocky and their young son, who was born in May 2022.

She shared the cover on Wednesday morning, but later on Wednesday night she shared even more snaps, revealing that she didn’t know she was pregnant with her second child when she posed for those stylish snaps.

The new snaps showed RiRi in a strapless black dress, lying on a bed with her son, another with her holding her son wrapped in a blanket, and another with her standing over her son in a crib.

‘My son so well! idc idc idc! How crazy my two babies were in these photos and mom had no idea, ”said the singer in the caption of her publication.

He also thanked writer Edward Enniful and photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, ‘for celebrating us as a family!’

It’s unclear when the actual photo shoot took place, or when the singer found out she was expecting her second child before revealing her bump on Super Bowl Sunday.

He also explained why he decided to perform on Super Bowl Sunday, just four years after turning down the concert in solidarity with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“There’s still a lot to fix in my eyes, but it’s powerful to break through those doors and have representation at such a high, high, consistent level,” he said.

His performance comes a year after the critically acclaimed halftime show by Dr. Dre., Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

‘Two Super Bowls in a row, you know, representing the urban community, globally. It’s powerful. It sends a really strong message,” he added.

He also spoke about the responsibility of raising a black child in today’s world, calling it one of life’s most terrifying responsibilities.

‘You’re like, ‘What am I leaving my kids for? Is this the planet you are going to live on?’ All of those things really start to hit differently,” she said.

The singer added that motherhood also lifted her spirits, leading her to accept the Super Bowl concert just months after having her first child…and seven years after her last stage performance.

“It’s knowing that you can do anything, even the craziest things, like, ‘Am I going to say yes to the Super Bowl in the middle of postpartum?'” she said.

‘What the hell am I thinking? But you’re crazy for a challenge like that because you know what your body just did. You get this feeling of “Nothing is impossible,” she said.

She added that she did not expect to be pregnant with her second child when she took the job, adding: “It was almost like an out-of-body experience.”

‘I haven’t been on stage in seven years. Seven years! From zero to the Super Bowl? That’s mental,’ she joked.

She admitted that the real reason she stepped on the Super Bowl stage was to honor her loyal fans.

‘I want to put on a show. I want to have fun. I haven’t done this in a minute and I’m doing it for the people who love my music, the people who have supported me and brought me to this place in my career,” she said.

‘And that they miss me as a musician in particular. It’s really me coming back on stage, a crazy stage to be back on, but I’m really doing this for my fans,’ he added.
