Kevin Durant hilariously hit back after his leg workouts were bizarrely called out during the latest episode of Hard Knocks.

In Tuesday’s episode of the HBO series, which is chronicling the Detroit Lions training camp, the Nets star caught some heat.

John Brown, the father of Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, referred to Durant’s 2019 Achilles injury before questioning when the basketball player last did a calf raise.

‘You got to train your whole body,’ said Brown, a two-time Mr. Universe bodybuilder in the 1980s, who also won Mr. World three times.

‘Kevin Durant and these guys, messed his Achilles up. I have a question for guys like Kevin Durant, when’s the last time you did a calf raise ?’

The clip was shared to social media and clearly caught Durant’s attention as he hit back.

He insisted he did not miss leg day as he quote tweeted the clip with a simply reply: ‘Today.’

A Twitter user responded to Durant’s tweet, claiming ‘it’s amazing how easy it is to get in your head.’ Durant responded saying it was the ‘most overused phrase in the last 10 years.’

Brown was referring to the ruptured right Achilles that Durant suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals while playing for the Golden State Warriors.

Durant returned to action in December 2020 with the Nets, and faced off against his former Warriors team.

It comes amid speculation that he would be willing to quit basketball altogether instead of putting on a Nets uniform this season.

Durant has reportedly demanded a trade and has offered the Nets an ultimatum – either fire general manager Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash or trade him.

An unnamed, but reportedly ‘well-connected’ NBA team executive told longtime NBA insider Marc Stein on Monday that Durant is ‘more apt to retire than play again for the Brooklyn Nets.’

Naturally, the NBA universe torpedoed the topic into virality, forcing the two-time Finals MVP to deny the claims.

‘S*** is comical at this point,’ Durant wrote on Twitter Monday evening.

‘I know most people will believe unnamed sources over me but if it’s anyone out there that’ll listen, I don’t plan on retiring anytime soon.’
