A married woman accused of beheading her lover after strangling him during drug-fueled sex attacked her lawyer in court on Tuesday.
Taylor Schabusiness, 25, attacked her attorney, Quinn Jolly, at around 8:48 a.m. in a Greenbay, Wisconsin courthouse, appearing to hit Jolly’s head with her elbow. The lawyer, however, did not appear to be injured.
The altercation apparently occurred after a witness failed to come forward to testify about Schabusiness’s mental state.
She is charged with first-degree murder, mutilation of a corpse and third-degree sexual assault after the victim’s own mother discovered her son’s severed head in a bucket, covered with a towel, at her home.
According to police, Schabusiness admitted to performing oral sex and using a sex toy on his victim after her death. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness or defect.
Taylor Schabusiness, 25, is seen attacking her attorney, Quinn Jolly, in court on Tuesday.
Schabusiness, pictured in a mugshot last year, is accused of decapitating her lover after suffocating him during drug-fueled sex.
The outburst occurred during proceedings to determine whether Schabusiness is fit to stand trial.
Jolly was expected to present expert witness testimony in court on Tuesday, but instead told Judge Thomas Walsh that the witness had not yet completed his report.
The lawyer asked for two more weeks for that testimony to take place.
Walsh reluctantly agreed to postpone the trial, originally set for March 6. FOX 6 reports, and had suggested a May 15 trial instead.
That’s when Schabusiness was caught on camera attacking Jolly.
Video from the Greenbay courtroom showed Schabusiness jumping out of his seat trying to grab Jolly’s arm before apparently hitting him over the head.
A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy quickly sprang into action and tackled Schabusiness to the ground, struggling to keep her on the ground as she tried to wriggle out of his grasp.
‘Stop,’ the officer was telling Schabusiness as she tried to kick herself free and wrapped her foot around a rope attached to her utility belt.

He sat next to his lawyer, Quinn Jolly, during the court hearing before violently attacking him.
Three sheriff’s deputies finally got Schabusiness to calm down and sat her against a door.
About a minute later, the Green Bay Press Gazette A court clerk reportedly told people at the hearing to clear the courtroom, which was about a quarter full with the media, other attorneys and a Schabusiness supporter.
Meanwhile, two other sheriff’s deputies could be seen arriving to accost the 25-year-old, trying to talk to her calmly.
A woman who supported Schabusiness also tried to calm the defendant down, according to the Gazette.
Together, they are able to calm Schabusiness down and sit her against a door before taking her out.
When the trial finally resumed, about 10 minutes after the attack, Jolly informed a judge on the case that he planned to file a motion seeking to be removed as Schabusiness’s attorney.
