Pregnant Rihanna seemed to wink at one of fashion’s greats during her rousing Super Bowl halftime performance.
The Umbrella singer, 34, who revealed she is expecting her second child after surprising fans with a baby bump as she took the stage, wore a red coat that resembled the late’s iconic Norma Kamali blanket coat Andre Leon Talley.
As she began to levitate above a transparent platform at one point in her show, Rihanna ditched her short Alaïa coat for a longer Alaïa puffer jacket.
And while her coat wasn’t the same one Talley wore, many fans took it as a tribute to the fashion journalist, with Talley’s official Instagram account also acknowledging the tribute.
‘When the sun shines, we will shine together. I told you I’ll be here forever… I said I’ll always be your friend,’ the account posted, along with a photo of Talley in the jacket, followed by the singer during the show.
