Sonia Kruger is a proud mother of her eight-year-old daughter, Maggie.
But like all parents, the reality TV star can get a little overwhelmed when the school holidays roll around.
The 57-year-old shared that she felt ‘stuck’ during the break as she struggled to do simple tasks.

“Like most parents, I was trapped with my son for an inhumane period of time, with no escape in sight,” she wrote in her column for Stellar Magazine.
“It really started to feel like a hostage situation,” Sonia continued.
“During the break, my personal father/son relationship reached the state of Stockholm syndrome.”

Sonia said she began to crave some ‘alone time’ after initially enjoying a honeymoon period.
“The chilling realization came when my seven-year-old son gave me permission to go to the bathroom, and I was really grateful,” she joked.
The Big Brother host may have found it challenging in the recent school holidays, but in 2021 she shared that she had enjoyed being in lockdown due to the extra time with her little girl.
“During the break, my personal parent-child relationship reached the state of Stockholm syndrome,” he added.
“The silver lining of lockdown,” Sonia wrote on Instagram, hinting that a positive from Covid was spending more time with her daughter.
Sonia shares Maggie, who was born in 2015, with TV executive Craig McPherson.
She conceived through IVF treatment and a donor egg at the age of 49, after several natural pregnancies ended in miscarriage.
