Danielle Armstrong out with husband Tom Edney for the first time since the pregnancy announcement

Danielle Armstrong stepped out for the first time since announcing she was expecting her second child with husband Tom Edney.

The former TOWIE star, 34, showed off her burgeoning baby bump when she donned a patterned midi dress and threw a black blazer over her shoulders for a romantic dinner on Friday.

The soon-to-be mom of two was captured holding hands with her husband Tom, and she completed her look with a pair of black stiletto boots and a black Chanel bag.

Danielle cut a glamorous figure as she wore her bright blonde locks loose and accentuated her tan hair with a polished makeup palette.

It comes after Danielle took to Instagram last month to reveal that she is expecting her second child with Tommy.

The TV personality shared her relief at not having to keep the pregnancy a secret, admitting she was quite “eager” this time around.

She said: ‘I felt a lot more anxious this pregnancy and you just want to be clear with all the doctors and different scans and all the different tests they do.

‘I don’t know what it is, but I really found it difficult this time. So yeah, anyone watching this, I think anything to do with pregnancy…

“I did not hide from anyone that after we get married, we will probably try, I would love to have a baby this year.”

“And as soon as I got married, people were like, ‘Are you pregnant? Oh baby number two!” And I’ll get into the details another time, but even my experience of trying for a baby was very difficult for me. In fact, I found it very emotional.

“I think it’s important that all the trying to have a baby, certain things that we were doing, that’s a whole different topic.

She continued: ‘The news is finally out. I’m so relieved that I can just be myself, without wearing a baggy top.

“I’ve gotten a lot of messages in the last few weeks from people saying, ‘Are you pregnant?’ I think women have a feeling.

It’s been a huge achievement for Danielle, who suffered after being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2018, a condition that affects 1.5 million women in the UK, according to EndometriosisUK.

The television personality opened up last year about the difficulties of living with the condition, saying she was devastated when she was told she might have difficulty conceiving.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, Danielle said: “I remember walking out of that date and I was sitting in the parking lot crying by myself.”

Endometriosis, which affects one in ten women, causes tissue similar to the lining of the uterus to grow in different organs of the body.

Tissue buildup may be minimal, but in the most severe and painful cases it can cause scarring that fuses organs together due to the time it takes for cells to leave the body after they thicken during the menstrual cycle.

Danielle went to her doctor in her 30s after years of severe menstrual cramps that she described as “unbearable.”

While there is no cure for endometriosis, pain-relieving medications and the birth control pill can be used to make periods lighter.

However, Danielle said she found coming off the pill helped her, and she recounted how she met Tommy six months after his diagnosis.

The couple moved in together after just two weeks and then six weeks later, Danielle found out she was pregnant with their daughter Orla, who was born in May 2020.

Danielle said that when the time comes for the couple to try for another child, she will “see what happens” but will go to her GP if she has problems.

The star said her pregnancy with Orla was difficult, but she and Tom are hoping to have more children, with Danielle hinting that she’ll probably end up with three.
