A Canadian sportscaster has revealed the devastating effects of alcohol abuse upon completing two years of sobriety by sharing pictures of himself before and after his bout with alcoholism.

The former TSN sports host documented the devastating consequences of alcohol abuse, while also crediting his loved one with helping him sober up.
He compared photos of him before and after ridding himself of any trace of alcohol in his life with an inspiring caption.
‘Two paintings. Two years apart. Two years sober. Two years ago I woke up and said three words: “I need help.” Saying those three words changed my life,” he told his more than 59,000 followers.

Last year, Dan talked about his path to sobriety.
In an interview with the Daily Hive, he revealed that he attended a center to seek treatment after being ‘kicked out’ from his job at TSN.
The sportscaster admitted that the treatment center was a “complete overhaul of my lifestyle.”
He said: ‘I’m taking all those things out, including as a glass of wine or smoking a joint here and there.
“I focused on what needed to be there and what needed to change.”
‘It took me 46 years to be more present than ever.
“I feel mentally and physically better than I’ve probably ever felt in my life.”
