The lavender-pink clear bag was included in VIP gift boxes given to many of Kourtney’s family and celebrity friends much to the enthusiasm of 26-year-old Etoile founder Michelle Hu.

“I spent hours and hours as a kid on YouTube watching makeup tutorials which led to me having an outrageous makeup collection,” she said.

“I was browsing Pinterest in 2016 looking for makeup organizing ideas and came across these beautifully organized vanities that I couldn’t find anywhere in Australia. Not long after Etoile was born.

In the first 12 months after leaving her job, Michelle went from working out of her home to a warehouse with office space, earning $200,000 a month in October 2019.

But he humbly admitted that Etoile didn’t ‘explode’ on the scene as soon as the idea struck him.

“Everything was done organically on Instagram at first and while I’m extremely lucky to be in an industry where the audience is highly engaged and active on social media, our Instagram followers grew much faster than sales,” she said.

“It wasn’t until a well-known Australian beauty Youtuber featured Etoile in a video that we had more eyes on us.”
