Dallas Cowboys legend turned television analyst Michael Irvin has been sent home from NFL Network’s continued coverage of Super Bowl LVII following a complaint filed by a woman at a hotel in Arizona.

“Michael Irvin will not be a part of NFL Network’s Super Bowl LVII week’s coverage,” NFL Network spokesman Alex Reithmiller told DailyMail.com in a statement.

The details of the complaint, as well as the identity of the woman, have not been disclosed.

Although no formal complaint was filed, the hotel notified the NFL Network about the alleged incident, leading to Irvin’s removal, DailyMail.com has learned.

Irvin, 56, gave his version of the story to the Dallas radio station 105.3 the fan Wednesday morning, saying he spoke briefly to a woman in the lobby of his hotel, but can’t remember what he said to file a complaint.

‘When I arrived to the hotel [on Sunday night], they asked me what I did and I said, “I just went straight to the room,” Irvin said. But I guess I ran into someone in the lobby, talked to someone in the lobby for about a minute, and then went to my room. And then after I got there they said they had to transfer me to the hotel. I said: ‘They move me to the hotel for what?’

‘So they moved my hotel and I said, ‘What’s going on guys? What’s happening? Why are we moving hotels?”

“They said, ‘Well, you came in last night, you talked to someone.’ I said: ‘I didn’t talk to anyone.’ I went straight to the room.”

‘And then they showed on camera that I did speak to someone. I talked to this girl for a minute. I don’t know what, they didn’t show me. they told me. I didn’t see it. But that’s why I was moved, because I guess the girl said that I said something to her that minute we talked, and then I was moved.’

“That’s why I’m hiding out to wait and see how it all turns out,” Irvin added. It was a one minute meeting somewhere in the lobby. I don’t even really remember because I had a few drinks, to be honest.

Irvin has faced other allegations in the past.

In 1996, a Cowboys cheerleader claimed that Irvin and Dallas offensive lineman Erik Williams sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, but the accuser later pleaded guilty to perjury and filing a false police report.

That same year, Irvin was arrested with cocaine and exotic dancers in a hotel room, later pleading guilty to drug possession. He would be arrested again for cocaine possession in 2001, though those charges were eventually dropped.

In a civil lawsuit, Irvin was accused of sexual assault in a Florida casino in 2007. He filed a counterclaim and the two parties settled out of court.

Florida prosecutors have declined to charge Irvin on allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted a 27-year-old woman in March 2017 due to a lack of evidence.

Irvin told reporters in July 2017 that he had lost “millions” of dollars in endorsements and business deals as a result of the allegations against him. He also said he was “devastated” by the allegations, in part because they were made by a young woman he considered a friend.

The woman claimed that she was at a bar in Miami with Irvin when they decided to go to her room at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Shortly after arriving in the room, she claimed that she began to feel sick and that the last thing she remembered was trying to fight Irvin, she told police at the time.

He told police that he did not remember anything else until he woke up the next morning. After taking an Uber home around 7:30 a.m., she called the police to report the alleged drug and rape.

The State’s Attorney’s report, obtained by TMZ, details how the woman’s toxicology report found she had cocaine and MDMA in her system. She also posted a BAC of 0.10.

The gossip website reported at the time that authorities also found no trace of Irvin’s DNA after a vaginal swab.

Irvin has repeatedly denied the allegations, saying “nothing happened” on the night in question.

Additionally, in 2018, he and fellow NFL Network host Eric Davis were accused of sexual harassment by a freelance makeup artist, who named them both in a lawsuit against the league.

‘davis [would] he would force his genitals against the plaintiff and also rub his genitals on the plaintiff’s leg,” according to the complaint, which was later dismissed.
