A sex worker whose nose was bitten off in a fight has been jailed for threatening to stab an Uber driver with a dirty syringe.

Louise Dean, 43, jumped into Mohammed Dara’s parked private hire vehicle in December 2019 and made “jabbing motions” with the needle to his neck before demanding he hand over his winnings.

Dean, who was cruelly nicknamed ‘Miss Piggy’ after having her nose bitten off in a row for a lost credit card in 2021, then chased Mr Dara around the vehicle, which was in the Walkden area of Greater Manchester, before fleeing with his watch and £30 in cash.

Dean then told an ’embarrassing package of lies’, claiming that she approached him in an attempt to recover some unpaid fees owed to her for a sexual relationship, but this was later proven to be a lie as the police did not found trace of contact with the victim on her phone.

Since then, the innocent taxi driver has quit his job and is in therapy for depression due to the raid on him and the subsequent sexual slurs made against him.

Louise Dean, 43, who was disfigured after the front of her nose was bitten off by another woman in a row over a lost credit card, falsely claimed Mr Dara owed her money for a sexual relationship.

At Manchester Crown Court Dean, of Weaste, Salford admitted to the robbery and was jailed for three years and nine months.

The December 1, 2019 incident occurred at 2:45 a.m. as Mr. Dara was finishing a seven-hour shift in the Walkden area.

James Worsford, prosecutor said: “He was about to collect his final fee when he noticed the defendant’s car parked behind his on the street and then saw her get out and walk towards him.”

She opened the door and got into the victim’s parked vehicle despite his protests that he already had a prearranged reservation and that she needed to get out.

Once in the car, he took out a syringe and began to make stabbing movements towards the victim. The victim noted that the syringe had a metal tip and was dirty.

She threatened to stab him if he didn’t pay her the money.

‘The victim managed to get out of his vehicle and initially stayed inside, searching for his winnings. But then she got out of the car and began to chase the defendant around the car.

“The victim suffers from restricted mobility due to her asthma and hip replacement, so the defendant caught her quickly.

‘During the chase, the victim’s watch came loose and fell to the ground. It was quickly taken by the defendant.

“She started threatening him again with the syringe and asking him for money. The victim offered £30 from her wallet, saying that was all she had. The defendant then took it and ran off.

“The victim then returned to his car and completed his last journey, which took him to Warrington. But after that, he reported the incident to the police.

Police called to the scene found Dean’s saliva on a handkerchief left at the scene by Mr. Dara.

The prosecutor added: “In the interview, she stated that the victim was not unknown to her and had in fact paid her for sex several times in the previous months.

He said he approached the victim to try to recover some unpaid fees he was owed from one of his previous engagements.

However, this was later proven to be a complete lie, as the police found no trace of contact with the victim on her phone.

Mr. Dara stopped working immediately after this incident. That night was his last trip as a taxi driver. The false accusations made against him by the defendant only further compounded the effect on him.

‘All this did not help his resulting depression. She has sought help and therapy, but her treatment continues.

Dean has five offenses on his record, including a 2018 brawl conviction in which he served an eight-month prison sentence.

In mitigation, her lawyer, Thomas James, said: “In 2021, Ms Dean was the subject of a brutal attack by another woman, who bit off her nose and was left with permanent facial disfigurement.

Her family situation has collapsed and she is no longer welcome among them. The removal from him meant that she has lived in various shelters and temporary accommodations.

‘He is currently taking medication for depression and is diagnosed with anxiety. He has suffered many traumas in his life.

“She doesn’t remember much of the incident that night, although she is very upset to hear what happened to the victim and feels remorseful.”

Sentencing Dean, Judge John Potter told him: “You can express remorse now, but in your interview with the police you told a bunch of shocking and embarrassing lies designed to further demean your victim.”

‘That was an appalling lie that bluntly adds insult to a previous injury. Naturally, Mr. Dara heard the accusations against him and this led to further distress.

He has since had to stop driving after four years on the job. In fact, the fee he took last night turned out to be his last.

The victim’s torment only ended at the last moment when you pleaded guilty. I accept that you lead a chaotic lifestyle that would make you vulnerable, but none of this is an excuse for what you did to Mr. Dara.
