Ladies of The View decide GOP played into China’s hands by criticizing Biden for NOT shooting down

The ladies of The View argued that Republicans played into China’s hands after they criticized President Biden’s response to the Chinese spy balloon saga that took several days to bring down.
Political strategist Ana Navarro agreed that the whole balloon incident was a “win” for China, but was unimpressed with members of the Republican Party who criticized the timing of Biden’s response.
They love this. They love that the Republicans have turned this into a big drama,” Navarro said.
‘They wanted this thing to be detected… The Chinese know how to spy. They can do better. They wanted to create a national crisis, an international crisis, they wanted it to rise up and be visible and talked about and they got it,” he added.

Political strategist Ana Navarro agreed that the whole balloon incident was a “win” for China, but was unimpressed with GOP members who criticized the timing of Biden’s response.
Navarro suggested that China’s intent was not to spy but to create a crisis within the US, something he said Republicans accomplished simply by criticizing Biden for not taking action sooner.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked as a former Trump administration official, added to critical conservative voices, saying the military “absolutely” could have shot down the balloon sooner and the delay was a victory for China.
“Beijing is celebrating today,” he said.
Biden gave the order to shoot down the balloon shortly after it was spotted, but it wasn’t until several days later that the order was finally carried out and traversed across the country.

‘I’m thinking to myself why did you send it? What did you think was going to happen? asked Whoopie Goldberg
Officials say the delay was due to concerns about potential debris damage.
“I mean, I know the Chinese government is very upset that we brought it down,” host Whoopie Goldberg chimed in.

“I think the president needed to listen to the military. He trusts his advisers. They stuck it. They waited for a place where they could shoot him down. I think he is thoughtful and it makes a lot of sense to me,” co-host Sunny Hostin added.
‘You know, I think the reason maybe Trump didn’t know is because Trump is tweeting, of course, on his fake social media platform that would have brought him down. He didn’t know. I think because he didn’t trust his military advisers, I don’t think they trusted him with confidential information and maybe they had it and they didn’t share it.
“We had a lot of military officials say we couldn’t trust Trump with the information, so we gave fewer briefings, and he didn’t want to read as much anyway.”
‘This is beyond my comprehension, but I like the fact that some of it is kept secret. There are some things when it comes to national security that need to be kept secret,’ said Sarah Haines.

Sarah Haines challenged that version of events by highlighting a different problem.
‘If this has happened before [and the president wasn’t told] So that’s a bigger problem and a chain of command problem. Me [them saying this has happened before] it was his way of diverting attention,’ Haines said.

Griffin, a former Trump official, was less forgiving of the delay in shooting down the spy craft.
Globo makes it sound silly. This is something with a payload of three buses traversing the United States collecting data. They have had satellite images. They can take specific photos. It intentionally targeted Montana, where our ICBMs are stored. It went completely across the country and was not shot down until it reached the other side.
“Beijing lives right now for shows of force against the United States,” Griffin said.
“We absolutely have the ability to get it out of the skies long before it hits the East Coast. I think it’s an unforced error by Biden. He was informed about this on Tuesday. He gave the order to the Pentagon on Wednesday. He did not appear in the press because it was seen on the air on Thursday and was not removed until Saturday.
