Liam Gallagher launches an X-rated tirade, calling the Premier League ‘BIG BULLIES’ after they accused Man City of breaking financial rules more than 100 TIMES, before the former Oasis frontman suggests Man United and Chelsea are also ‘investigated’

Manchester City fan Liam Gallagher thinks Manchester United and Chelsea should have their finances ‘investigated’ as the singer went on an X-rated rant in the Premier League.

The Premier League champions were charged on Monday with breaching the division’s financial rules more than 100 times regarding sponsorship and contracts over nine seasons.

Gallagher, less than impressed by the news, branded the league ‘BIG BULLYS’ and believes the rivals should come under similar scrutiny.

He tweeted: ‘The Premier League are BIG BULLYS Investigate 1 Investigate them all you rain of shit’

When a fan suggested that manager Pep Guardiola would leave in the summer, Gallagher replied: “You’ve been saying that since he came here, sit down and quit smoking eggs and cream.”

He also agreed with a fan who called for Chelsea and Manchester United’s spending to be investigated.

The charges against the reigning champions relate to financial information on revenue, details of coach and player remuneration, UEFA regulations, profitability and sustainability and cooperation with Premier League investigations.

A league statement said the alleged violations occurred from September 2009 through the 2017-18 season and will now be referred to an independent commission.

It adds that the club is alleged to have breached league rules that require the provision “in the best faith” of “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position.”

If Man City are found guilty, they face a number of potential penalties, including a points deduction or even a sending off, although it could take years to reach a conclusion.

The documents are understood to have been handed over to City at the same time the Premier League announced the charges.

An executive level phone call from the competition was also made to the club, but no advance notice was given to the club.

Manchester City in a statement said they were surprised to hear of the alleged offences.

The statement said: “Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuance of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive commitment and wealth of detailed materials that have been provided to the EPL.”

‘The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the full body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.

“As such, we hope this matter is put to rest once and for all.”

The news comes a day after Man City suffered a 1-0 loss to Tottenham, leaving them five points behind league leaders Arsenal.

One Gunners fan mocked today’s news as he tweeted at Gallagher with the message: ‘Arsenal are winning the league this season mate. There’s no use crying about it. At least we can all laugh at Chelsea.

Gallagher, in response, apparently conceded his team’s chances of winning a third successive Premier League title, replying, “You’ve already won it, haven’t you?”
