Nikki Bella reveals that her and husband Artem Chigvintsev’s 2-year-old son Matteo was throwing up during the wedding

Nikki Bella recently revealed an important and unexpected detail about her summer 2022 wedding ceremony.

while chatting with MY! News The 39-year-old Total Bellas personality explained that her two-year-old son Matteo missed his parents’ wedding.

“I was throwing up,” the mother-of-one noted of her young son, who was meant to be the bearer of the rings.

The raven-haired beauty also noted that she and her husband-to-be didn’t realize Matteo’s condition until it was too late.

She recalled: ‘The nutcracker goes off, and we’re kind of looking down the hall, and I’m like, ‘Where is he?’

Nikki later recalled her brother JJ Garcia telling her what was going on and saying, ‘Here are the rings. Matteo’s vomiting. Just, you know, he keeps marrying you.

The professional fitness enthusiast said ‘I think I turned white’ upon learning of her son’s health.

He felt guilty when he described: ‘[Artem and I] They both don’t even remember the ring part because we both kept looking at each other like, ‘Are we terrible parents?’ How to put on the rings and we just got told that our son is throwing up on his back?

Bella expressed her regret at not having her only son present, detailing, “He ended up throwing up and went back to the hotel, and it actually ended up okay.”

But I’m sad because we don’t have that moment, but it’s okay. We have to see it first.

There were only a small group of family and friends at the Parisian ceremony, which Nikki planned in just four weeks.

She said the “spur-of-the-moment” company “made it fun for wedding planning at times, until we got to Paris and found out everyone leaves in August, most things were closed.”

While chatting with E! News that the 39-year-old Total Bellas personality explained that his two-year-old daughter Matteo missed her parents’ wedding.

Nikki had previously been engaged to John Cena, but they split in 2018 after six years of romance.

Nikki and Artem welcomed Matteo in late July 2020, with Nikki revealing the reason the nuptials were delayed.

“Once I had Matteo and started raising him, I thought, when I say ‘I do,’ I want to make sure it’s forever,” she said.

“I know there are things that Artem wants too, like he really wants his parents to [who live in Russia] there, but also, in general, I don’t want my son to go through a divorce,’ she said.

‘It’s crazy for me to remember the journey that brought me here. I never knew if I would make it down the aisle,’ reflected the new Mrs. Chigvintsev in an interview with girlfriends.

She continued: “But I realized that I just needed to be at this point in my life.” That’s what makes me a wife, and a good wife. I’m finally ready for it.
