Footy star Ben Brown reveals that his 17-year-old cousin’s battle with two bouts of leukemia prompted him to shave off his famous hair for charity after sporting it for 10 years.

Melbourne Demons star Ben Brown will shave off his famous locks after taking inspiration from his cousin’s battles with leukemia.

The 30-year-old AFL premiership winner will donate the proceeds to Challenge, a non-profit organization that supports children with cancer. after shave on February 25 at Yarra Park in Melbourne.

As a club, the Demons also encourage families and fans to come out and show their support for the worthy cause.

Grace, 17, has suffered two bouts of leukemia and, in Brown’s eyes, pulling out the scissors was the least she could do.

“Any help that all of you can give me along that journey, knowing what Grace has been through and what my family has been through would mean a lot to me,” said the striker who scored three goals in the Grand Final triumph of 2021 against the Western Bulldogs. he said he

“She has been through many years of treatments, many years in the hospital, had a few years where everything was great and then she relapsed and was diagnosed with leukemia again.

Brown is very close to his cousin, Grace, 17, who has suffered two bouts of leukemia.

Brown, who made his AFL debut in 2014 with North Melbourne, has admitted he hasn’t had a haircut in ten years.
