A bride married at first sight laughed when her husband strangely thought he had sent them a letter from Audrey Hepburn.

Hepburn, a star from Hollywood’s Golden Age, died in 1993.

Thursday’s episode saw newlyweds Caitlin McConville and Shannon Adams arrive at the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast for their honeymoon.

After checking into her suite, Shannon read a letter congratulating the couple on their wedding day.

The beginning of the letter included a quote from Hepburn, which read: “Love is the best investment, the more you give, the more you get in return.”

Shannon read the quote aloud before asking his wife, “Did Audrey Hepburn write this to us?”

Caitlin laughed in disbelief and replied, ‘No, I think she’s dead.’

‘Oh, is that her? God bless you,’ Shannon said before continuing to read the letter.

The personal trainer later told the producers that his connection with Caitlin was blossoming and things were going well.

‘Caitlin and I get along very well. She’s an ace at talking. It’s not really a fight, she’s great,’ she said.

This isn’t the first time Shannon has been recruited by Channel Nine.

She previously appeared in the 2018 Love Island Australia commercial alongside presenter Sophie Monk.
