Emmerdale SPOILER: Paddy grows closer to his ex Mandy after a double date ends in disaster, but will they revive their romance?
Paddy Dingle will get close with his ex Mandy again in next week’s Emmerdale, as he continues to struggle in the wake of his split from cheating wife Chas.
After his attempt to get back into the dating pool ends in disaster, Paddy feels isolated after his wife rips him off for his controlling behaviour, prompting Mandy to step in and offer her support.
As they enjoy a bottle of wine together, the former flames laugh hysterically, but as they struggle to make eye contact, could this be the start of a rekindled romance?
Love again? Paddy Dingle will once again get closer to his ex Mandy in next week’s Emmerdale, as he continues to struggle in the wake of his split from cheating wife Chas.
In the next few scenes, Bear (Joshua Richards) surprises Paddy (Dominic Brunt) by revealing that he has set up a double date and although Paddy is courteous, he is horrified to be forcibly returned to the dating pool.
Bear doesn’t understand that Paddy isn’t in the right frame of mind for socializing, as he encourages him to go out on the town with his dates Carol and Bev.
Fortunately, Paddy thinks of an excuse and sighs with relief when Bear leaves with Carol and Bev, but the next day Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is shocked when he thinks he overhears Paddy bragging about being single.
Shortly afterwards, when Chas is joking flirtatiously with Kev the cartman, Paddy sustains a deep cut.

Back to the game! In the next few scenes, Bear surprises Paddy when he reveals that he’s set up a double date, though it’s clear he’s not ready.
Ending in disaster! Bear doesn’t understand that Paddy isn’t in the right frame of mind for socializing, but luckily he excuses himself and leaves.
Having had enough of his treatment of her, Chas puts Paddy in his place over his controlling behavior and reminds him that it is his choice to continue living with her.
Mandy is worried that the exchange leaves Paddy stranded and the next day Paddy tries to hide from his ex but has no luck.
As Paddy admits he’s lost, Mandy wordlessly reaches out to hug her broken ex, admitting that she knows it can be hard to move on when you still love someone.
Paddy is quietly impressed by Mandy’s remark and feels that perhaps she knows how he is feeling right now.
Annoying: After he chafes at her flirtatious behavior, Chas puts Paddy in his place for his controlling behavior, reminding him that it is his choice to continue living with her.
Hard: Mandy is worried that the exchange leaves Paddy looking helpless and the next day Paddy tries to hide from his ex but has no luck.
Back at the Woolpack, as they open a bottle of wine, the former llamas shyly avoid making eye contact as the implication of Mandy’s words hangs between them.
As the afternoon progresses, Paddy and Mandy reminisce through the music and dissolve into helpless, cathartic, alcohol-fueled laughter. Mandy struggles with her conscience as she looks into the drunken Paddy’s eyes.
Could this lead to the couple rekindling their romance?
