Former Sunrise host Sam Armytage is leaving his podcast after two years, but promises ‘new side hustles’ while remaining under contract at Seven.
Former Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has announced that she has left the podcast she hosted for Stellar Magazine.
The 46-year-old revealed her departure from the ‘Something to Talk About’ podcast on Sunday before pledging new ‘hustles’.
“A little ‘news’ from me for 2023: I’ve made the decision to say goodbye to the ‘Something to Talk About’ podcast this year,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve chatted and interviewed for the past 2 years…and loved every minute of it.”
She continued: ‘THANK YOU to all the lovely people who tuned in weekly and all the fabulous interviewees! I’m still writing my monthly column for @stellarmag, which I LOVE.
“Now is the time for other challenges and side hustles – watch this space.”

Stellar Editor-in-Chief Sarrah Le Marquand will replace Samantha as the new host of the weekly podcast.
It comes nearly two years after Samantha left Sunrise in March 2021 after eight years on the show.
After saying goodbye, she was replaced by Natalie Barr and has enjoyed a quieter life in the country.

However, Samantha is still under contract with Channel Seven until March 2024.
“I’m under contract with Seven for another 18 months and I’m extremely happy,” he told The Australian in September last year.
She also recently made a guest appearance on the dating reality show Farmer Wants A Wife, helping singles find love.
