West Brom make double loan swoop for Premier League stars

West Brom are looking to bolster their hopes of chasing Championship promotion with a double loan move in the remaining days of the January transfer window.

The Baggies are discussing loan deals with Premier League clubs Nottingham Forest and Fulham ahead of a push through the playoff places.

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan wants to bring on Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien along with Fulham star Nathaniel Chalobah, with the relevant clubs in talks.

Negotiations are underway for both players and an agreement is expected to be reached for at least one of the players before Tuesday.

Albion could also see a player leave the club with full-back Martin Kelly, a possible departure as Wigan target the experienced centre-back.

West Brom exited the FA Cup on Saturday after a fourth round meeting with Bristol City as the hosts walked away with a 3-0 victory.

O’Brien has enjoyed Premier League minutes with Forest under Steve Cooper this season, making 13 top-flight appearances along with appearances in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Chalobah has found himself in and out of the matchday squad at Craven Cottage during the team’s run to seventh in the Premier League under Marco Silva.
