The event is spearheaded by the Australian American Association and celebrates Australians who excel in the US entertainment industry.
The G’Day congratulations are intended to highlight figures from film, television, music and culture who have improved relations between Hollywood and Australia in an effort to strengthen ties between the two countries.
The gala planned a special tribute to Australian superstar Olivia Newton-John, who died in August at the age of 73.

Kerr previously spoke on the Drew Barrymore Show in November 2020 about how he formed a strong bond with Perry during family events with their 11-year-old son Flynn.
