Keke Palmer Hosts Once Upon A Baby Themed Party That Transforms Into A ‘Light Up Party’

Sounds like Keke Palmer’s ‘Once Upon A Baby’ baby shower, bouncy with music, dance and crafts, was the place to be this weekend.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress gave her 11.9 million followers a look at the festive affair with numerous videos and photos, all while showing off her growing baby bump.

Palmer and her partner, Darius Jackson, joined a host of family and friends to celebrate what will be the couple’s first child.

The 29-year-old former Disney Channel and Nickelodeon child star could be seen making the rounds at the high-energy bash, decked out in a cute brown maxi dress and her black hair pulled back into a flirty side-parted hairstyle.

She opted to wear minimal jewelry, but in some posts she did put a crown on her head.

Seemingly playing the role of the hostess, the actress mainly danced and sang during the shower-turned-party, especially when she arrived at the room where the DJ was spinning tunes that got the guests dancing.

‘A long time ago, in a land not so far away… The King and Queen came together to play. The play became love as many sunsets passed. Now there is a prince, soon to arrive! Palmer wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

At one point, Palmer could be seen making her way down to the dance floor, literally squatting low to the floor, all while the beat of the music had her and others in a dancing frenzy.

There were also a variety of games for people to play, and crafts, which seemed to be a hit with the guests.

The singer made the news of her pregnancy public during an episode of Saturday Night Live in December.

The Barbershop 2: Back in Business star then accidentally revealed the gender of his pending bundle of joy during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Jan. 25, which was reported by several publications including Hello Beautiful.

Royalty: Palmer would eventually put a crown on her head, making her queen of her own party.

Party Breaks Out: It wasn’t long before the music had most of the crowd on the dance floor making a move.

While discussing her new baby’s possible zodiac sign, Palmer said: “I don’t want to be too direct with my baby.” She also hinted that she might give birth in March, which would mean her child would be either a Pisces or an Aries.

“Pisces are known to be very deep and emotional creatures,” the Harvey, Illinois native explained. “I don’t want to be too…tell it like it is,” he teased, adding, “I need to get in the water with a Pisces, just keep it cool.”

Jackson works in the fitness and entertainment industry, and has a YouTube channel for his workouts, according to Capital Xtra, while his younger brother, Sarunas Jackson, appeared on the HBO show Insecure created by Issa Rae.

The couple began their romance in 2021 and will now expand their family when the baby arrives in the coming months.
