  • People online are debating whether items should be eaten together

Shoppers have been left scratching their heads after discovering a strange item on the supermarket shelf.

One woman saw a package of Primo snacks containing cubes of cheese and sticks of ham or salami, as well as hundreds and thousands of cookies.

She shared her confusion about the oddly paired snacks in a to post to Reddit, while food blogger Russ Eats rated the $4.25 purchase one out of 10.

“Please tell me these aren’t meant to be eaten all together,” he said in the post.

Many in the comments said they were also taken aback by the item after seeing it in supermarket fridges, while some were outraged that it only featured one cookie.

“I saw one of those and had to go back down the hall to make sure I was seeing this shit correctly. I laughed and then kept walking,” one person wrote.

‘I’m so confused by this, shouldn’t it be crackers? I mean, these are all crackers!!’ he answered for a second.

‘I am most upset by the audacity of providing only one cookie per pack. Who in the history of this beautiful nation has eaten JUST ONE cookie out of hundreds and thousands?’ pointed to a third.

But not everyone was put off by the strange snack with one user saying: “Yeah, that’s a… weird combination.” I kind of want to try it now.’

I’m going to eat the shit out of these,’ said another.

“My kids’ favorite sandwich combination is ham and peanut butter, so he’d probably eat this too,” laughed one mom.

‘There must be a market for it or they wouldn’t produce it… maybe that market is for weird kids like me. However, I find it pretty gross.

A debate was also ignited as people were unsure if all three foods should be eaten together.

People have been debating how the snack was to be eaten as some thought the ham and cheese was supposed to go on top of the cracker like a cracker.

‘I was literally having this conversation in the store the other day with my family. The image is sending a confusing message if it is not intended,” said an enthusiast.

“Some of my friends said the cookie is for dessert, but I really feel like it suggests everyone go together,” the poster replied.

‘Especially since the other packages have a Jatz biscuit or similar! And besides, what savage eats his ham and cheese without crackers?

A similar surge was started under a TikTok shorten from last year from Russ, known online as Russ Eats, reviewing the snack pack.

“This has to be a good shot… This cost four bucks, I have to try it, it can’t be good,” he said in the video.

Russ ‘filled up’ the shortbread with ham and cheese before eating it and rated it one out of 10.

It puzzled him that the package contained only one biscuit and a lot of ham and cheese.

“The proportions are all wrong, how is this going to fit into that? I fully loaded it, but look how much is left, they didn’t do the math on this,” he said.

One commenter said they thought the items should be eaten separately, but Russ wasn’t convinced.

“The picture shows them about to be stacked OVER the cookie,” he replied.

‘This combo makes me crazy. And putting the cookies on the middle tray really makes me think they mean eat them all together,” said one viewer.

“I’m pregnant and this sounds amazing,” another laughed.
