A woman was found with injuries all over her body, including burns, after she was allegedly kidnapped and held in an apartment for three days.

The 44-year-old woman had allegedly been held captive in an apartment on Levitt Street in Wyong, on the central coast of New South Wales, since Thursday.

He managed to flee the unit before a neighbor contacted police, who responded to the scene on Saturday.

The alleged victim told police she was concerned a 52-year-old man was being held in an adjoining room, and officers confirmed her worst fears after finding his body.

New South Wales Police revealed on Sunday that the four people knew each other and that the allegedly abducted woman had initially visited the unit of her own free will.

A woman was found with burns on her body after she was allegedly kidnapped by two people for three days before escaping.

Officers established a crime scene and detectives launched an investigation into the incident.

The 44-year-old woman was taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment for multiple injuries, including burns.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the unit and a 33-year-old woman was handcuffed at a house on Charmain Street in Watanobbi.

The couple are understood to be in a relationship and were taken to the Wyong Police Station where they were charged.

The woman was charged with concealing a felony and the couple will appear in Wyong Local Court on Monday.

The dead man lived in the same compound where his body was found.

A former resident who used to live on the street said the area was known to be a drug hotspot.

“I used to live opposite those units, the police were always there, something has to be done with those units, unfortunately they are full of a lot of drugs,” he said.
