Fan favorite Shaun Hampson will return to Australian Survivor on January 30 in the new season of Heroes v Villains.

And a trailer for the Channel 10 reality show reveals that the 34-year-old former AFL star may have found his match in independent politician ‘Sneaky’ Stevie Khouw.

“No more Mr. Nice Boy,” Stevie, 62, tells Shaun at the promo, as the two go head-to-head in a fierce-looking surf challenge.

The preview begins with Shaun showing off his ripped torso as he performs a series of athletic tasks with ease.

“Shaun is an unstoppable beast of a challenge,” announces the voiceover.

Later, a shirtless Shaun, who is in the Hero tribe this season, is seen taking on ‘villain’ Stevie in a surfing challenge.

Noting that Stevie only measures the height of the football player’s chest, host Jonathan LaPaglia quips, “This seems to be the matchup of the season here.”

It comes after presenter Jonathan revealed that filming Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains turned out to be an exhausting experience.

He said the daily telegraph production was affected by food poisoning and Covid-19.

Changing the filming location from the Australian outback to Samoa also brought challenges caused by the elements.

With a new ‘Heroes vs. Villains’ theme this year, past contestants clash with new ones as the ‘good guy’ squares off with the ‘evil’.

LaPaglia believes that all of the returning contestants took a great risk given the fast-paced nature of the competition.

Some of the high profile names taking part include actress Sharni Vinson, former Miss World Australia Sarah Marschke and author Benjamin Law.
