Homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found in the same location where another body was discovered a few weeks ago.

Western Australia Police allege the woman, believed to be in her 50s, was involved in an altercation in a car park in Wellington St, Perth, just before 2pm on Monday.

She then collapsed near the intersection of Wellington and Pier Street before her friends found her and called the emergency services.

Paramedics at St John’s attempted CPR for around 15 minutes before an ambulance took her to Royal Perth Hospital, where she died shortly after.

Witnesses told Nine News they saw two women fighting in the parking lot before the victim was knocked out and found by friends shortly after.

“Detectives from the Homicide Squad have taken over the investigation,” a WA Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

Police cordoned off the scene in the Perth City YHA car park while officers surveyed the scene.

The body of a 24-year-old woman was found at the same location on December 15.

His partner of 27 years was charged with an unlawful act or omission with intent to harm.
