Our star and Yorkshire Farm shepherd Amanda Owen revealed this week that there was recently a “scary medical emergency” at the farm.
speaking to Times RadioAmanda, 48, said one of her nine children had to be rushed to hospital from the farm in a helicopter just before Christmas.
In a candid conversation, Amanda said the incident reminded her that living in an idyllic countryside can sometimes have “downsides.”

“Three weeks before Christmas, we had another medical emergency on the farm,” he explained.
“And that one was scary where one of the kids got sick and that involved a helicopter coming in, the air ambulance coming to pick us up.”
“People say it must be amazing to live in a rural area, to live the way you do. That is one of the drawbacks.
“And that one was terrifying where one of the kids got sick and that involved a helicopter coming, the air ambulance coming to pick us up,” he said.
Amanda and her ex-husband Clive run Ravenseat in the Yorkshire Dales, a remote working farm where they have been tenants for over 20 years.
The former couple are parents to Raven, 21, Reuben, 19, Miles, 16, Edith, 14, Violet, 12, Sidney, 11, Annas, nine, Clemmy, seven, and Nancy, six.
Before their split was confirmed last summer, neighbors revealed to MailOnline that Amanda had moved from the cottage to their rental property in Swaledale, while Clive had stayed at the cottage.

However, Amanda has since moved back into the country house, revealing in an interview this month with the sunday time that she and Clive have “two farms that are basically next door to each other, so it’s close enough to be useful, but far enough away that we have space.”
“Whatever our personal situation, there’s a farm to run and nine children to care for, so we’re just working together, making it happen.”
Amanda keeps busy with the thousand sheep, forty cows, six dogs and four horses that reside with her in Ravenseat, not to mention her nine children, seven of whom still live at home.
