The number of people available for work in the City of London will reach a five-year high in 2022.

There was a 36 percent increase in job seekers for the city’s financial services sector on a year-over-year basis – the highest level since 2017.

According to recruitment consultant Morgan McKinley, the number of vacancies was 16 percent higher than in 2021.

Pay packages were also fattened up with an average salary increase of 22 percent for someone moving from one company to another.

But the number of job seekers fell by 23 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022 from the previous three months, while the number of job openings fell by 8 percent.
