John Fashanu from Dancing On Ice 2023 became the first star in the lineup to be dropped from the ITV series on Sunday night.
After all five celebrities performed during week two, it was revealed that John would face off against Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu in the skate off, with both pairs performing new routines.
However, many viewers at home complained that John’s skating routine was almost identical to his main skate.

They argued that he had simply changed the music and kept all the same steps in the second routine.
One said: ‘OH DOING THE EXACT SAME ROUTINE ARE WE JOHN?’
While another agreed, writing: “Same ‘dance’ to different music for John.”
A third repeated: ‘Am I going crazy or is John’s off-routine skating the same as his first skate?’
Criticism: However, many viewers at home complained that John’s skating routine was almost identical to his main skate.
And a fourth wrote: “John better go, he couldn’t even learn more than one routine for the skate off ffs.”
Elsewhere on the show, Vivienne made history on the ITV show by becoming the first drag queen to perform.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race star and fellow pro Colin Grafton were delighted as they earned a total score of 28.5 out of 40, with Ashley, Oti and Jayne giving it a 7, while Chris gave it a 7.5.

Chris seemed impressed and said: ‘A star was born in the ice tonight. Our own diva on the ice, but you’re our best skater by far.
He then quoted Cher and said, “We all invent ourselves, but some just have more imaginations.”
The drag queen looked sensational in a black mesh catsuit with glitter detailing at the front, with Colin donning a matching top and leather pants.
Many viewers took to Twitter to express their frustration to ITV over the amount of voting time that was allocated in the first and second week, noting that they didn’t even get a chance to access the page before voting closed.

Despite the glitz and glamour, it was a rocky start for the Love Island fan-favorite series Ekin-Su, who placed in the bottom two by receiving the fewest votes from the public.
The Love Island star recreated a memorable scene from the ITV2 reality show where he crawled across the floor, prompting more than 100 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought the routine was too risqué for the family-friendly series.
