Samantha Fox has claimed that she discovered Jennifer Lopez.

The former model and glamor singer, 56, explained how she handpicked the pop superstar, 53, to appear in the video for her 1991 single, (Hurt Me! Hurt Me!) But The Pants Stay On, before hiring her as a dancer. for her tour.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at the Inspiration Awards For Women, he also opened up about his recent wedding to his wife. Linda Olsen, 48, calls herself “the happiest woman in the world.”

In 1991, 22-year-old Jennifer was trying to carve out a career as a professional dancer, having not released music or appeared in a movie at this time.

Looking back on their first meeting, Samantha said, “I was auditioning women for my video when I tore America apart with my number one album.”

‘And then I had to find dancers for my tour. And she walked in and I was like, “Oh, that’s really nice,” just like you. And I chose her.

Samantha and Linda tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Essex in July, after announcing their engagement in March 2020.

The former Page 3 model walked down the aisle with her partner after they were forced to postpone their 2020 wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

When asked about married life, she said: “It’s fabulous. This June we had…last June…OMG. Last June we got married.

‘We waited three times for COVID and it finally happened. It was absolutely beautiful. He couldn’t wish for anything better.

‘I am the happiest woman in the world. Yeah, and I hope it lasts erm, you know, around 60, 70, yeah, why not?

Samantha also talked about how her next album will be inspired by the love of her life.

She said: ‘The next year, I got a great album with Ian Masterson, who has done a lot of songs for Britney and Kylie. This time I’ve gone ultra pop, I’ve written some great records.

“My music is about, I guess, the last five years of my life, what I’ve been through, meeting my wife and going forward and up, positivity and being who you want to be.

“Love is love and we look forward to spreading the message around the world on this new album.”

Sam began a relationship with Linda in 2016 and has previously said he was in a “very good place” after his partner of 12 years, Myra, died in 2015 of cancer.

The TV personality, who recently suffered a cancer scare after finding a lump on her vocal cords, announced in 2018 that she had finally found love again with the Norwegian single mother of two.

Samantha recently said OKAY! magazine that after postponing their initial wedding due to the Covid pandemic, they planned to hold off so loved ones from around the world can attend.

During the interview, Sam revealed that her ‘great mate’, Motörhead lead singer Lemmy, who died in 2015, had offered to step in and walk her down the aisle after her father’s death.

Sam’s father, Patrick, who directed his career until 1991, died in 2000.
