He shared: ‘I think the end of my marriage was the catalyst for the machine to stop. But really, it was nine years of never stopping and never having time to breathe and really understand what happened to me. For five months I stopped and closed. I tried to take my life. I tried to do it twice.
The star shared that in the wake of their split and breakup, friends and family rallied around and urged him to “get out of it,” but Rylan said the only person who could get him out of it was “himself.”
He compared the experience to being blind and deaf at the same time, recounting how one ‘can’t see and can’t hear’ when others tried to communicate with him.
