The crash on the Logan Motorway Wednesday, south of Brisbane, blocked several lanes of traffic and causing significant delays for commuters.

Emergency services were called just before 6am and firefighters arrived at 7.30am to the incident, after three trucks and two cars collided.

‘There were no entrapments. Firefighters made sure the scene was safe,’ a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said.

The eastbound right lane was the first to be reopened, easing traffic conditions.

It was the second crash to delay commuters on Wednesday morning, with another collision closing lanes on the Bruce Highway at Morayfield.

Police said two trucks colliding sparked the incident in that incident.
