Nova’s Kate Ritchie makes major announcement after confirming a stint in rehab
Kate Ritchie took to social media to assure fans that she’s “doing fine” and that she’ll be back on her radio show in a few more weeks.
After confirming that she had been undergoing rehab at a Sydney clinic for alcohol dependency, the 44-year-old former Home and Away star posted the message to her stories on Friday.
The announcement comes after the radio star’s dramatic exit from Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel show in October.

Kate seemed ready to bounce back after her personal dramas in her message that appeared on the broadcaster’s official Instagram.
“Hello everyone, I’ll be gone for a few more weeks,” the popular star wrote.
But in the meantime, be sure to tune in for the guys who will be back live in the studio starting at 4pm on Monday!
“By the way, I’m good and excited for 2023.”
The announcement comes after the radio star’s dramatic exit from Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel show in October after being charged with drink driving just weeks earlier.
Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter will replace the actress on the Kate, Tim and Joel show starting Monday at 4 p.m.
Kate included a photo of the drivetime team’s Nova studio in the post.
It comes after Ritchie revealed in December that he had checked into a private Sydney rehab center to get help for “alcohol”. dependence’.

The actress and radio host said in a statement that the last year had been challenging and stressful, leading to an “unhealthy dependency on alcohol.”
It came just days after she was spotted checking into an exclusive rehab clinic in Sydney.
Ritchie also confirmed at the time that he would be taking a break from his Nova driving program until 2023.

She resigned from the Kate, Tim and Joel show in October after being charged with drink driving just weeks earlier.
‘As previously announced, I am taking a break until next year. The last year has been incredibly challenging emotionally, as well as a relentless schedule, stress, and lack of sleep. I realized that this had led to an unhealthy dependency on alcohol,” she said in his statement.
‘So I decided to use this time to do something positive by getting the help I need from professionals who specialize in this area.

‘As everyone would understand, this is a very big step for me. I want to sincerely thank everyone who is supporting me.’
The center runs inpatient and day programs for those ‘experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs’ and the ‘assessment and treatment of mental health conditions’.
The clinic has a ‘multidisciplinary team including consultant psychiatrists and addiction specialists, nurses, exercise physiologists, social workers, psychologists and psychotherapists’.
Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter will replace the actress on the Nova show starting Monday at 4 p.m.
The clinic is popular with on-air talent because it is relatively low-key.
“They have a good strike rate and the day programs allow patients to come and go and continue to see family and work while receiving help,” a source said.
“This time of year is also perfect as it’s a ratings-free period, most people are out of town on vacation, and the networks are drying up.”
Ritchie shocked listeners in October when he announced that he would be leaving his hit show Nova Drive for the rest of the year due to stress.
Shortly after the announcement, a radio source claimed that she may not return to Nova’s driving show and could be replaced by replacement co-host Ricki-Lee Coulter.
