Emma Roberts came ‘full circle’ by starring with Richard Gere in a new film… after she starred with her aunt Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
Emma Roberts recently celebrated a milestone when she joined her aunt Julia Roberts to work with screen icon Richard Gere.
Walking the red carpet with the 73-year-old actor on Tuesday for a Cinema Society screening of his new movie Maybe I Do, the 31-year-old actress gushed about working with Gere while chatting with page six.
“I loved him in Runaway Bride and Pretty Woman,” she said, noting the two rom-coms she shot with Julia.
“Obviously, he’s worked with my aunt,” she said, “so working with him felt like it came full circle.”

Gere’s decades-long connection to his family meant it “made perfect sense” for him to appear in the new rom-com as his father.
A rare appearance with Richard at the screening was his wife Alejandra Silva, a publicist 30 years his junior.
The film is a star-studded adventure with a cast that includes Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Emma’s Holiday co-star Luke Bracey, and William H. Macy.
Roberts’ character faces some awkward interactions after she finds out that her in-laws are having affairs in the film by first-time director Michael Jacobs.

The cast was a treasure trove of riches for Roberts, who also raved about working with Keaton, who appears as his character’s mother.
He singled out some of the Annie Hall star’s previous movies, including Baby Boom and The First Wives Club, as reference points for her.
“I feel like I could watch a live broadcast of Diane Keaton all day because she’s so funny and smart and talented,” Roberts enthused. “Even her manner is so Diane Keaton. So, it was really fun to share a breather with her.

During her red carpet appearance, Emma joked about how her two-year-old son Rhodes constantly keeps her on the go.
“I’ve definitely invested in a really comfortable pair of shoes because he’s faster than me now and he’s almost as tall as me,” he said. ‘Soon I will be surpassed in power. She just turned two and we had a very sweet birthday celebration. Is the best.’
Emma shares her young son with her ex Garrett Hedlund. She split from the Tulsa King actor in December 2021 after a two-year romance.
Since moving from Hedlund, Roberts began dating Cade Hudson, who happened to be her agent at Creative Artists Agency.
In August, she moved in with actor Cody John.
