Bizarre moment fan gets a HAIRCUT in the middle of an Australian Open match

Rare moment a fan cuts HIS HAIR in the middle of an Australian Open match, after some of the world’s biggest stars lashed out at dishonest spectator behaviour.

  • Youngsters treated pitch seats like a barbershop at France Tiafoe’s match
  • One grabbed a pair of clippers and gave his friend a shave.
  • The light-hearted incident came as a relief to the fans who disrupted play at the tournament.

Australian Open fans have been noted for outlandish behavior by tennis’s strict standards in recent years, and now one spectator might have outdone them all by shaving their heads in the middle of a match.

The bizarre sight was recorded during American star Frances Tiafoe’s victory over China’s Shang Juncheng on Wednesday night, and footage shows the young fan sitting quietly while another bystander shaves his head with a pair of scissors.

Amused commenters called the video ‘Straya peak’ and ‘more interesting than tennis’ when it was posted online.

The newly shaved amateur received a clinic from Tiafoe, who broke through Shang’s defenses to record a 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 victory against the 17-year-old.

Strange as it was, the makeshift haircut didn’t seem to draw the attention of security or players on the court, but the same can’t be said for what other fans have been up to at the Open this year.

Novak Djokovic got into an angry exchange with the referee during his win on Thursday night when he called for an apparently drunk fan wearing a Where’s Wally?

‘All night, all night, what are you going to do about it?’ she was enraged.

‘You know who is. The guy is drunk to death. From the first point he has been provoking.

He’s not here to watch tennis. He just wants to get into my head.

A furious Djokovic told the officer that one particular fan was “drunk”.

‘So I’m asking you, what are you going to do about it? You heard it at least 10 times. I listened to it 50 times.

‘Why don’t you call the security guards, get him out of the stadium?’

Nor was it an isolated incident.

On Wednesday night, three British fans who appeared to have been drinking were thrown off an outdoor pitch after directing foul-mouthed chants at compatriot Cameron Norrie’s opponent, Frenchman Constant Lestienne.

Some of the chants from the British ‘fan’ trio included ‘You’re so *** Andy Murray’ and ‘Lestienne is going home’.

Earlier that day, Canadian Denis Shapovalov got into a heated exchange with the referee over an upset fan who said he had consumed ‘one too many beer’ before telling the spectator to shut up.

On top of that, former Russian world number 1 Daniil Medvedev told a bystander to fuck off when he was interrupted in his first round win over Marcos Girón.
