Yara Shahidi looks glamorous in a mini dress with floral design… before her appearance on Tonight Show

Yara Shahidi has hit the New York City pavement as part of the promotional push for her hit sitcom Grown-ish.

The actress and model was dressed to the nines when she was seen walking through the bustling streets apparently ahead of her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.

Her busy day also included visiting her Instagram page to promote her spot on the late-night talk show, which is taped early at night, and to show off her looks before going on stage.

Shahidi, 22, looked runway-ready in her black and white mini dress with a gold floral design.

Only the upper part, along the shoulders, of the hot number was white, while the rest of the chest and below was the black part.

Golden flower designs were scattered across the dark part of the mini dress that seemed to sparkle in the afternoon sun.

In keeping with the floral color scheme, the Black-ish star opted to wear a pair of yellow heels, all while carrying a sleek black clutch.

At one point during his travels, with the temperature in the 40s Fahrenheit for a good part of the day, Shahidi she decided to add a beautiful yellow jacket to her ensemble.

The stylish coat was completed with a white furry part along the first half of each sleeve and a zipper up to the neckline that she wore when out and about.

It seems ‘golden’ was Yashidi’s mantra for the day, considering her hints of yellow and gold in her fashion choices, as well as one of her Instagram posts where she dropped a snippet of Jill Scott’s uplifting song, Golden ( 2004). .

“How we live in 2023,” she shared in the video’s caption, along with a gold star emoji, showing her moving her hands across her shoulder-length bob.

“I’m living my life like it’s gold, living my life like it’s gold,” the soul and R&B singer can be heard screaming in the clip of her post.

Shahidi is in New York City, in part, to promote the premiere of the second half of the fifth season of her series Grown-ish, which premieres later that night on Freeform.
