Before New Kids on the Block’s Jonathan Knight-Rodriguez was “horribly” outed in 2009 by an ex-boyfriend in the National Enquirer, his manager warned him never to be open about his homosexuality.
“He pushed me aside and said, ‘If anyone finds out, your career is over. New Kids’ career is over. My career is over. Sony is going to lose money,'” the 54-year-old Grammy said. nominee revealed on Monday’s episode of the podcast Frosty Tips with Lance Bass.
‘It was so much pressure. Looking back, it’s a lot of pressure for someone who’s just trying to figure out the world for himself.

However, Knight-Rodriguez admitted to having “secretly hooked up with some” of the guys his manager would “conveniently have around” in New Kids’ 1990s heyday.
On Aug. 25, the Boston-born boybander revealed to Eastern Time that he had secretly married Barry’s Boston instructor, Harley Rodriguez, at some point during the COVID-19 pandemic after around 13 years of dating.
The 43-year-old Frosted Tips host knows a thing or two about being in the closet and has only hooked up with women until he was 22, during his heyday in boyband *NSYNC.

Jonathan is mostly keeping busy as a real estate developer and he and co-host Kristina Crestin will star in the fourth season of the Colorado-set reality competition Rock The Block, which premieres March 6 on HGTV.
The New Kids on the Block, which disbanded from 1994 to 2008, is scheduled to perform on March 7 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
