Filming for the third series of Bridgerton is underway as the cast, dressed in their incredible Regency garb, were spotted out and about on Edward Street in Bath on Wednesday.

Cast members sat in horse-drawn carriages as they rode through the city’s historic streets for the upcoming scenes.

It comes after it was reported that filming on the third series had been halted after bosses thought some of the storylines had gotten “too dark”.

The female stars were seen with their hair in tight curls, wearing a variety of pastel colored dresses.

One woman wore a pink tulle dress complete with a satin teal jacket and ruffled collar, while another wore a lilac dress with floral embellishments.

A man could be seen wearing a short blue tuxedo and a purple tie, many of the actors wore blankets and coats to warm themselves between takes.

Principal photography on Bridgerton’s third series began in July, with the new series of episodes focusing on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

In addition to the exciting news that filming is back on track, it has also been revealed that three new cast members will be joining the romance series.

Daniel Francis, who previously starred in Stay Close, will join the cast as Marcus Anderson, “a charismatic presence who lights up any room he walks into, drawing the attention of certain matriarchs in the ton and the ire of others.”

And James Phoon, who appeared on Wreck, will play Harry Dankworth in season three.
