Police have arrested a man on suspicion of trying to kidnap a bikini-clad barista through a drive-thru.

The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested at 11 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Auburn.

Investigators were able to search his vehicle and found evidence linking him to the scene, as well as seeing his unique ‘Chevrolet’ tattoo on his left forearm.

The driver of the Chevy Silverado will remain in police custody and has not yet been officially charged with anything.

Video surveillance shows the man approaching the window in a truck around 5 a.m. at Beankini Espresso Auburn, a self-service coffee shop located in a suburb near Seattle.

Auburn Police Department spokesman Kolby Crossley said: “They are in vulnerable positions because they usually check those places themselves in the early hours of the morning when it’s dark outside.”

“But this barista did an amazing job of protecting herself and fighting this person.”

Authorities added that they arrested the suspect after “overwhelming support from the community.”
