How Pip Edwards and Michael Clarke reunited and sparked cheating scandal

Pip Edwards and Michael Clarke attended an exclusive New Year party at the famous Bondi Icebergs in Sydney, just days after the cricketer was accused of cheating on his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough with the fashion designer.

Extraordinary footage emerged on Wednesday night of the former Australian cricket captain and Karl Stefanovic embroiled in a heated late-night exchange in front of shocked spectators in a public park over the incident.

The Today show host and Australian cricket great clashed while on holiday with their respective partners, sisters Jasmine and Jade Yarbrough, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on January 10.

All hell broke loose as the couples dined at a beachside restaurant in Noosa with celebrity accountant Anthony Bell.

The melee is understood to have been over Clarke’s ex-girlfriend Pip and recent text messages between the couple.

Clarke and Edwards, who officially split in December 2021, were spotted at the same New Year’s Eve party at Icebergs in Bondi Beach just a few days earlier.

The former llamas were seen partying at the iconic event with their friends, including businessman John Ibrahim, designer Henry Holland and restaurateur Maurice Terzini.

Pip shared a series of photos on Instagram that day wearing a green mini dress.

Elsewhere, Clarke was seen wearing a black T-shirt and designer glasses as she posed alongside revelers.

At the time, rumors swirled that Clarke and Jade had split, as the socialite canceled her appearance at the party to go on vacation to Aspen with her sister Jasmine and her brother-in-law, Today show host Karl.

Sources claimed that Pip and Clarke did not speak to each other and kept their distance at the New Year’s Day party.

But just 10 days later, a wild fight broke out between Clarke and his girlfriend Jade, as well as Stefanovic, in front of shocked onlookers.

The dramatic images obtained by the daily telegraph shows a shirtless Clarke being yelled at and slapped by his hysterical girlfriend Jade while others in the group try to defuse the fight.

During the furious exchange, Jade accused Clarke of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend Pip on December 17 and texting her that she is the “love of his life”.

The video opens with Jade yelling at Clarke before she punches him in the face and pushes him after the cricketing legend claims he hadn’t cheated on her.

‘I’m wrong? I’m fucking wrong! You are a fucking liar. Ican see everything. You called her,’ Jade yells, apparently referring to the messages between Clark and Pip.

Clarke then tried to assure Jade that she had not slept with Pip on December 17, and claimed that she had been with her partner Bell that night.

“Baby, you’re wrong, you’re wrong,” Clarke insists. ‘Baby, baby, Belly was in the house. I swear on my life, I swear on my life… That’s not true, it’s not true.’

He then swore on the life of his daughter Kelsey that he did not cheat on her. “I swear on my daughter’s life, on my daughter’s life,” Clarke says.

But Jade doesn’t believe her desperate protests and claims that she talked to Pip.

‘You’re lying to me. You are a piece of s**t. I just talked to her. What’s wrong?’

Clarke again denied having slept with Pip, replying: ‘No, I didn’t. you can hit me That’s not true, that’s not true’.

Clarke appeared to have pulled his hamstring in the melee after Jade pushed him to the ground as he was seen limping through the public park.

Stefanovic’s wife, Jasmine, finally intervenes and grabs her distraught sister by the arm and leads Jade away. Jasmine can be heard saying, “Go to Karl, go out to Karl.”

As she is led away, Jade can be heard crying as she turns to Clarke and says, “I hate you.”

Clarke then tries to follow Jade before she unleashes a wave of rage at Stefanovic, presumably because she’s leaving with the two sisters.

‘Karlos, I can tell you now c**t, don’t go. She can, she can hit me, but you idiot,” says Clarke.

The comment provokes the fury of Jade, who defends her brother-in-law before slapping Clarke repeatedly across the face.

“You piece of shit, don’t talk to him,” he yelled.

Stefanovic and his famous accountant Anthony Bell can be heard telling the couple to stop, which falls on deaf ears.

“Go hit me, hit me… do it again, you’re wrong, you’re fucking wrong,” Clarke tells his girlfriend.

Jade yells, ‘Oh, am I wrong? You fucked her (Pip) on December 17th, you fucked her… you fucking dog… I’m going to show her every fucking message you ever sent me. .’

She references a text message she saw on Clarke’s phone inviting Pip to go to India with him.

“Oh yes you are the love of my life Pip come to India” Jade said.

Clarke replied: ‘Don’t ever speak to me again.’

The two-minute clip ends with her sister Jasmine and Bell separating the feuding couple.

“Stop, Jade, stop,” Jasmine pleads. Bell adds, ‘Let it go Jade.’

The ugly altercation unfolded in front of young children who were nearby, according to stunned witnesses.

A repentant Clarke has taken full responsibility for what happened.

I am absolutely heartbroken, I have put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” he told the publication on Wednesday night.

“I am devastated that by my actions I have brought women of class and integrity, and my peers, into this situation.”

His former partner, Pip, distanced himself from the ‘debacle’ when he launched a brutal blow at Clarke.

‘This is not my circus. Once again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to,” Pip said in a statement.

The altercation took place just a day after Clarke and Jade silenced recent breakup rumors when they packed up the PDA on Noosa’s main beach for the holidays.

Clarke’s relationship with former partner Pip began in June 2020, following his split from wife Kyly, which they had announced four months earlier.

He and Pip had been friends for over a decade before that, but became friends while working on a fashion project together.

The couple separated in December 2021.

A source close to the couple confirmed the split, saying: “The decision was mutual. They are two best friends who decided to part ways as a couple earlier this month but are continuing their friendship.

After their breakup, Pip had an affair with Bondi restaurateur Cameron Northway for about four months, but that fell through and she got back together with Michael.

The batter was married to former model Kyly Clarke (née Boldy), 40, from 2012 to 2019, but the couple did not announce their split until February 2020.

The Clarkes kept their split under wraps for several months before she posted a statement on Instagram saying her priority was her daughter.

In a statement at the time, the couple said the “amicable” decision to separate was “the best path forward” for their daughter.
